Google My Business Changing to Google My Profile Google

GMB recently announced a name change for its Google My Business (GMB) program. The program will now be called Google Business Profile. Before Google My Business (GMB), local businesses had a profile on Google Business Profile, but it was not the same as the new program. In the old version of Google Business Profile, anyone could submit information about your business. Google would gather information from across the web to populate your profile.
The program also used to be Google Places and Google+ Local.
What Google My Business Does GMB was an improvement over the old way to manage Google my profile accounts. GMB allowed any business who wanted to use Google my profile services to manage their account. They could create a branded listing and make posts to highlight their business. How Google Business Profile Changes SEO The new Google Business Profile gives you many of the same features as GMB. Google encourages businesses to manage their profile directly in the search results or on Google Maps.
Google also plans to add several new features.
You can claim and verify your Google Business Profile in Google Search and Google Maps. They are also adding a call history feature and a messaging app. This feature will let you see if any calls originated from your Google local search results. Google is also adding a performance planner to help you manage your Google ads budget. The main difference in the program is that larger businesses will continue to use the same platform on GMB, but even this platform plans to change to Business Profile Manager in the future. How Does It Work? These changes will allow businesses to improve their local search presence and make management of their profile easy. Usually, when Google makes major updates to a piece of its software, it will change the name and rebrand the product. If you already have a GMB account, you do not have to do anything. Your account will eventually transition to the new platform. If you used your GMB profile to create other accounts, you might want to check these other accounts to make sure the migration did not affect it. The new business profile will let you interact with customers, collect and respond to customer reviews, and highlight your products and services. You can point customers to your website and consider using location-based ads with Smart campaigns in Google ads. You can do much more with the new rollout than you could before GMB came along. It gives you marketing power that it did not offer in the past. Navigating Google’s changes can be confusing, and you want to make sure you get the most from its new features.
