I had the pleasure of attending the Driving Sales presidents club and the New york auto show in New York last week . What a great conference . The breakout sessions were my favorite part of the conference. They were very informative. I also was able  to network and make some good contacts. 

 While there we also went to the New York auto show. This was a great experience. We were able to see the unveiling of the 2020 Sonata. What a car!

Construction on new building is finished!

We are in our brand Hyundai building! For several months now I have been blogging about the progress on the snow hyundai store that we have been building. We started this quite a while ago and built a new facility from the ground up! Its got the apple store feel to it and is very modern.

New hyundai building

So I have been blogging for quite some time now about the process that we are going through with trying to move in to a new building. We have finally started moving in and now the real fun starts. Presidents club

Are you going to the driving sales presidents club? It is a great conference. I have been 4 times and learn a lot of useful stuff every time I go. The speakers are always the top people in the industry and they come prepared. The networking at break and in the evening is just as valuable as the conference. I also really like the way that they maximize your time while there. Its in and out! Make sure that you check it out!

Allen Turner Hyundai New construction

We are almost ready to move in to our new building! We are about one month away! This is getting really exciting.

 

 We are now starting to get down to scheduling the logistics of moving all of the people and cars etc. We have furniture going in next week and all of the networks will be up soon! We have started assigning locations and all kinds of other stuff. 

We are also starting to really dive in to the showroom setup. The salespeople will be working from tablets and will be working with the customers on hightops. We also have a lot of visual electronic aids in the showroom as well with a 16 set tv wall!

Service smarts marketing

Currently in our service bdc we have several types of things that we do each day from a marketing standpoint. 

The absolute main task that the bdc reps have is taking inbound service appointment calls and scheduling them for an appointment. This is so important for us to get right. It controls the flow of our shop. 

In the down time  we then start doing thank you calls and confirmation calls for upcoming appointments. 

So now we are moving in to making outbound calls for retention.....Most of the data that we are using for this comes off of service smarts for both Hyundai and Chevrolet. There is an amazing amount of data that is there. We really do well with these lists. 

My question is do any of you guy have any words of wisdom for using service smarts for this?

Yes, setup a priority list for contacting, customers, via,  :

*New (first time customer for oil change ) * Customers who have not been in the dealership for 90 days or more * Declined Service customers ( 25% market close rate) *Recall customers,  * - create outbound scale compensation on outbound appointments made for up to 120 on month basis with a 95% show rate.  If any questions or clarity on expected results to hesitate to reach out.

Hyundai Dealer Rater dealer of the year for the nation!

We recently found out that we have been named Dealer Rater Dealer of the year for the Hyundai and the Genesis brand! 

We put a ton of effort in protecting the dealerships reputation and generally just trying to help our customers. This effort comes from the top down! If anything its actually weighted  heavier at the top. Every Monday morning we go through each one of the reviews from the previous week. This puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of the reviews. Our salespeople really push our customers to do these. They actually keep with their profiles and the reviews that they get on the site. 

This is something that we are extremely proud of at the dealership

Construction update

We are getting so close to moving in to our BRAND NEW building! We are within a 60 day window and its starting to feel real! We are starting to a moving in timeline together and the contractor is getting close to receiving a lot of the interior things!

You need to post some pictures of the new building once complete.   A new Hyundai building just went up near my house, I like the new look/layout that Hyundai moved towards with Ettleson Hyundai.  I wonder if your store will look similar.

What kpi's are you measuring?

 Digital marketing sure has changed a lot in the last few years......I can remember when we would really watch your click though rates.....Obviously there a lot more platforms that you can use today in digital marketing. But what are the main kpi's that you are watching now? Most of our marketing efforts are in pad search or on social platforms.....So we are starting to look more and more at REAL engagement. On fb we are trying to get more conversations started than just likes. Same with our google my business page.

New building is almost done!

Happy New years to everyone! I started an ongoing blog about the progress of our construction a few months ago. Man we are getting close and all of the stuff is starting to come together......

 

We are now starting to make sure the furniture that is coming is right....trying to figure out what will play on the tv's and all kinds of other stuff....We are very excited though.
